After the running of race 2, the race meeting was indefinitely delayed due to protesting grooms invading the course and refusing to depart despite police presence. The start of this race was delayed due to the above-mentioned protest. race times for races 3 to 12 were rescheduled by the Operator. There was a further delay to race 3 while a track inspection was carried out. In view of the performance of EMERALD TIARA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Kennedy reported that he felt something amiss with FLY AWAY in running. Jockey Hewitson reported that UPCLOSEANDPERSONAL returned cut into. BASADI FAITH was hanging in from the 300m. Apprentice Schwarz struck the horse SEEMYVISION when it was out of contention for a place. BASADI FAITH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. FLY AWAY raced with a tongue tie on. UPCLOSEANDPERSONAL raced equipped with ear muffs. Vet: EMERALD TIARA - lame left hind. FLY AWAY - not striding out. UPCLOSEANDPERSONAL -scalped both hind. Scratched: VICTORIA PAIGE - abnormal temperature.
