THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DESTINYS GAME (W Kennedy) and MEERCAT (G Lerena) were slow into stride. b) KAYLA'S DREAM (*J R Syster) was restless in the stalls and reared, was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race and reloaded. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck CASTLE DURROW more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey C Zackey signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1500-00 was imposed. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (15), the manner in which it was used and Jockey C Zackey's recent record with regards to this rule. b) KAYLA'S DREAM (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Cason advised (RH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ENCRYPTION abnormal respiratory noise.
