CALIENTE was restless in the stalls. Removed and checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. Trainer Drier advised to re-school this gelding. OUR COYS (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Passing the 500 meter mark the right foot of Jockey Kennedy, rider of OUR COYS (AUS), slipped out of the stirrup iron resulting in OUR COYS (AUS) becoming unbalanced. Shortly after regaining his right iron his left foot came out of the stirrup iron. This resulted in OUR COYS (AUS) shifting in abruptly carrying HAND ON HEART and SILVA'S BULLET inwards passing the 350-meter mark. As a result, HAND ON HEART and PERPETUAL FLAME became cramped. Thereafter passing the 250-metre mark CAPOEIRA and OUR COYS (AUS) shifted in independently of each other resulting in SILVA'S BULLET being carried inwards by CAPOEIRA. As a result, SILVA'S BULLET was switched out to continue his run. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward into this incident and after reviewing the patrol videos from the various angles and considering the distances between the runners no further action was taken. In view of the performance of CALIENTE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Vet: CALIENTE - nothing obvious detected.
