The start of this race was delayed due to PEPPERMINT TEA spreading its left front shoe en-route to the start which was attended to by the Course Farrier. Thereafter BLONDE VISION injured herself in the stalls. This caused a further delay. The start time was rescheduled to allow the betting public to restructure their bets. During the loading process, BLONDE VISION became unsettled and kicked the back gates repeatedly. BLONDE VISION was removed from the stalls, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon and was subsequently withdrawn for injuring herself. Assistant Trainer de Kock was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. STAR PROFILE was slow into stride. OURO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GEOGRAPHE BAY raced equipped with ear muffs. Scratched: BLONDE VISION - injured in stalls.
