Jockey Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with SILVER THURSDAY in running and did not persevere with his ride from the 250m. In the concluding stages COLD CASH was carried in and bumped in by I LIKE IT, which shifted in away from the crop from the 300m. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board, which was subsequently followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer Alexander, the trainer of COLD CASH, against I LIKE IT, on the grounds of intimidation and interference in the concluding stages. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections of both horses and reviewing the patrol films, was of the opinion that the result had been affected and that COLD CASH would have finished ahead of I LIKE IT had this incident not occurred and therefore upheld the objection and amended the judge's results. PERFECT TIGRESS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Khumalo hit the horse PERFECT TIGRESS more than 12 times in the entire race. Vet: SILVER THURSDAY - speedy cut right hind.
