FOREIGN SOURCE, GOTCAUGHTSPEEDIN and HOOVES OF TROY were nervous in the stalls. SIR CALEB and LE WARRIOR were stubborn loading. SPIN MASTER was slow into stride. Jockey Hewitson reported that he felt something amiss with SNOROK in the running. Jockey Storey used his crop on more than 12 occasions whilst riding the horse GOLD DRAGON during the running of the race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey Storey, the Board considered the number of times which he struck GOLD DRAGON as well as, his poor recent record in relation to this rule. Jockey Storey was also advised that should he appear before the Board again regarding a similar contravention in the near future, a more severe penalty may be imposed. HOOVES OF TROY, FOREIGN SOURCE and CAPTAIN ANNE BONNY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SNOROK - coughed post-race. Scratched: VIKING MOON - not eating up.
