WESTERN ANGEL was restless in the stalls. FOURS A CROWD was slow into stride. Jockey Andrews, rider of WESTERN ANGEL, reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. Trainer Stewart appeared before the Board and was interviewed with regard to the filly's performance today as compared to her previous recent run at Kenilworth on 25 May 2019. He explained that she is a filly that performs at her best when she races from a very handy position in the early stages of a race as she did today. He explained in her previous race she had been unable to get to the front of the field on the straight course at Kenilworth and had not stayed on in that particular race. He had fitted her with cheek pieces today to assist her in the early stages and was of the opinion that this is why she was able to get to the front of the field on the bend and therefore raced to her true ability. Trainer Stewart was instructed to equip IT IS WHAT IT IS in a similar manner in her future races. IT IS WHAT IT IS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. IT IS WHAT IT IS raced fitted with cheek pieces. Vet: WESTERN ANGEL - was examined post-race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. FLUTTERING -returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. IT IS WHAT IT IS - returned speedy cut on the left fore.
