CASSIUS COLT lost 1 length. ROY'S PHYSCO (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Jacobs the rider of MYRRH had his crop accidentally struck from his hand by Jockey Hewitson, the rider of APPLE MAGIC, passing the 200-meter mark. In view of the performances of JUMPING CASTLE, NISIDOMINUS and BELLE OF PARIS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. VELVET SEASON and ROY'S PHYSCO (AUS) shifted in independently of each other over the final 150 meters. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward followed by a race review by Trainer Nel into the above incident and after reviewing the patrol videos from the various angles, no further action was taken by both parties. Jockey Yeni used his crop in an unnecessary manner when this colt was out of contention in the closing stages. Vet: JUMPING CASTLE - coughing. NISIDOMINUS and BELLE OF PARIS - nothing obvious detected.
