THANKSGIVING stood losing 5 lengths. HAWWAAN and TWIST OF FATE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CHARLES over-raced in the early and middle stages. In view of the performance of CHARLES, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. HAWWAAM over-raced in the early and middle stages. ATYAAB (AUS) which was hanging in in the straight, was eased out of the race after taking an awkward stride at approximately the 150-meter mark. In view of this report the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. In view of the Starter's report with regard to THANKSGIVING, this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable with a companion. THANKSGIVING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Jockey Lerena used his crop in an unnecessary manner with his crop arm above shoulder height. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's Report concerning ATYAAB (AUS), this colt is suspended from racing for a period of 60 days. Vet: ATYAAB (AUS) - not striding out left hind. Epistaxis. CHARLES - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: BUNKER HUNT - lame left hind.
