During the loading process BELIEVE ME, which was proving stubborn to load, slipped its bridle. Once refitted this filly refused to load and was subsequently scratched by the Starter. Thereafter BELIEVE ME slipped her bridle again and this had to be refitted for safety reasons before the field could be dispatched. This caused a delay to the start of this race. BELIEVE ME refused to load and was subsequently scratched by the Starter. The starting stalls certificate for this filly was withdrawn. In view of the Starter's report with regard to BELIEVE ME, this filly was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading into the starting stalls. BELIEVE ME may not be presented for repassing during this period. At approximately the 150m HIGH SEAS BEAUTY (AUS) had to steady momentarily and switched out to avoid running onto the heels of CARIOCA. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, HIGH SEAS BEAUTY (AUS) had to steady again when awkwardly placed between CARIOCA, which had come to the end of its run and rolled out, and I LIKE IT, which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. Jockey Danielson, rider of CASHEL PALACE and Apprentice Klink, rider of EMILY JAY reported that their respective mounts did not stride out freely in running. VISTULA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CASHEL PALACE and EMILY JAY - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: BELIEVE ME - refused to load.
