CIRCLE IN THE SAND lost one length. MORE THAN A DIME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In a tightly bunched field, racing near the 1500m HOPE FOR MILLIONS became cramped for galloping room. HIT THE GAS over-raced in the early and middle stages. CIRCLE IN THE SAND was hanging in, in the straight. MORE THAN A DIME was baulked momentarily near the 300m and thereafter was switched in to continue her run. Jockey Orffer the rider of HOPE FOR MILLIONS accidentally dropped his crop passing the 200m. LA DUCHESSE was hanging in, shifted in between the 200m and the 50m, which resulted in HEY JUDE being steadied momentarily at approximately the 150m. Apprentice Jacobs failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to HEY JUDE at approximately the 150m. Jockey Hewitson the rider of APPLE MAGIC reported that he felt something amiss with this filly and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the closing stages. Apprentice Gates the rider of HIT THE GAS reported this filly not striding out freely in running. KIR raced without a tongue tie. LILIESLEAF raced with steel shoes in front, unshod behind and equipped with ear muffs. Jockey Moodley was the rider of IMPERIAL SEAL, raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. Vet: APPLE MAGIC and HIT THE GAS - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ISIKHWAMI SAMI - elevated temperature. INDIAN RAIN - jarred right fore.
