ASHBAAL (AUS) jumped inwards. INDY GO was slow into stride. Approaching the 200m BATTLEOFTRAFALGAR was brushed out by INVIDIA, which rolled out marginally. Jockey Marcus appeared before the Board and was afforded the opportunity to place on record any factors which, in his opinion, may have contributed to the defeat of BATTLEOFTRAFALGAR. In this regard he explained that he was satisfied with the manner in which the horse had settled in running, however, this colt had disappointingly failed to produce a powerful finishing burst when asked for an effort. The Board noted Jockey Marcus's explanation, which was corroborated by the patrol film of the race. Apprentice Ferraris reported that FOLLOW MY PATH made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. INVIDIA, PUTONTHEREDLIGHT and ASHBAAL (AUS) were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: INDY GO - speedy cut left front. FOLLOW MY PATH - no respiratory noise detected post-race. Scratched: DE LA CRUZ - sold without engagement.
