VALKYRIE SILK and LILIESLEAF both lost 1 length. SABRENA was slow into stride. ITSAPLEASURE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JER jumped inwards at the start making contact with DISNEY PRINCESS who in turn made contact with SABRENA. LILIESLEAF was inconvenienced shortly after the start and thereafter was pulling hard in the early stages and was difficult to restrain. SUN ON SAND shifted out and was eased off the heels of JER near the 1300 meter mark. The saddle on SABRENA slipped forward badly in the early stages resulting in Jockey Moodley removing both feet from the stirrup irons near the 1200 meter mark and thereafter racing wide and Jockey Moodley being unable to assist this mare in running. Apprentice Ferraris the rider of APPLE MAGIC reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. BLACK ORCHID compounded and was not persevered with in the closing stages. In view of this the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. LILIESLEAF raced fitted with ear-muffs. Vet: APPLE MAGIC - nothing obvious detected. BLACK ORCHID - coughing. Scratched: MISS JAGGER - not eating up. SILVER SUO JURE - jarred right fore shoulder.
