When afforded to the opportunity to explain to the Board the manner in which he rode BUGATTI BLUE, Jockey Wes Marwing averred that since this colt had come back from a long lay-off, his instructions were to tuck BUGATTI BLUE in and give it an opportunity to settle, however, as the gates opened this colt had jumped well and galloped to the front and he was unable to restrain BUGATTI BLUE. He was of the opinion that if he fought the horse and tried to restrain it more than he had, he would have taken more from the horse and that would not have been beneficial to BUGATTI BLUE. His explanation was noted. Jockey Greyling, the rider of SILVER COIN, felt something amiss in running. THREE TO TANGO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. THREE TO TANGO raced in steels. Vet: SILVER COIN - examined post-race and nothing untoward was found. Scratched: MASTER 'N COMMANDER - no suitable jockey available.
