CATCH A GLIMPSE and THANDEKHILE were slow into stride. LAGERTHA was restless in the stalls. Apprentice Klink reported that BRITANNIA QUEEN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Sampson reported that he felt something amiss with WIITHOUT LIMITS in running. CATCH A GLIMPSE over-raced in the early and middle stages and as a consequence, took an awkward stride at the 1000m. When afforded the opportunity to explain the performance of LAGERTHA, Jockey Marcus explained to the Board that he tried to get this filly into the race early on, however he felt that LAGERTHA never travelled well and was always under pressure to maintain her position. He further explained that he could also not identify anything amiss with this filly. CANDLE ROCK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: BRITANNIA QUEEN and WITHOUT LIMITS - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. SAINT MARCELLA - lame left front.
