THE STARTER REPORTED : a) EDGARTOWN (*J Jacobs) refused to load and the Starting stall certificate for this colt is withdrawn. b) EXTRACT (K de Melo), THUSVIR (J Samuel), FIRM DECISION (N Patel), ROYAL VIRTUE (S Veale) and OPENING SHOWER (G Wright) lost one length, respectively. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 200m, AISLING (D Dillon) which shifted out away from the crop marginally, was bumped in by SHELDON (A Arries), which was hanging in from the 400m. A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by the Rider (D Dillon) of the second placed horse (AISLING) against the winner (SHELDON) on the grounds of interference and intimidation from the 800m. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board overruled the objection. In arriving at this decision, the Board considered that, despite AISLING (D Dillon) and SHELDON (A Arries) racing in close proximity between the 800m and 200m, AISLING (D Dillon) was not definitively impeded by this proximity. Additionally, the Board was of the view that, the outward movement by AISLING (D Dillon) had contributed to the impact of the bump at the 200m and from the patrol films of the race and in particular the side on angle, it appeared that after the bump at the 200m, SHELDON (A Arries) was holding AISLING (D Dillon) to the finish. Consequently, the Board could not be satisfied that but for the above incident, AISLING would have finished ahead of SHELDON, therefore it overruled the objection and allowed the Judge's result to stand. Jockey D Dillon's deposit was refunded. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to EDGARTOWN (*J Jacobs), this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 14.12.20 to the 20.12.20. EDGARTOWN may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M Miller was advised.
