The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the siren at the start having to be replaced. TOM TOM stood, losing many lengths. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding was withdrawn. BINKY and JET POWER were slow into stride. In view of the Starter's report with regard to TOM TOM, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls. TOM TOM may not be presented for re-passing during this period. At approximately the 350m MY KING had to steady momentarily off the heels of SWEET WILLIAM, which was carried in by JET POWER, which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. BINKY was hanging out from the 200m. VETRI VEL shifted both ways away from the crop in the concluding stages. Jockey Habib reported that he felt something amiss with DRY YOUR EYES in running. Jockey Zackey reported that at this stage of MARK THE DOORMAN'S career, this gelding did not appreciate the additional distance of today's race. Jockey Yeni hit the horse WILLIAM HENLEY more than 12 times in the entire race. BORN RICH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JET POWER raced equipped with a Cornell collar. Vet: DRY YOUR EYES - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected.
