SIGMA ALPHA was restless in the stalls. In view of the performance from MACROBIOTIC, which commenced to give ground from the 300m, and Jockey Andrews did not persevere with his riding, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Approaching the 100m VELD FLOWER changed stride and shifted out sharply, had to be straightened. LOUISA MAY was hanging out from the 300m. FOREST FIELD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MACROBIOTIC - examined post-race and no significant findings were detected.
