ACCIDENTAL TOURIST lost one length. DIAMOND NOIR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ROCKING RUBY over-raced in the early stages, raced to the front, and thereafter compounded in the closing stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. DIAMOND NOIR shifted out slightly in the closing stages, carrying BOSS BABE outwards resulting in LAWDY MISS CLAWDY being momentarily cramped. Jockey Kennedy the rider of DIAMOND NOIR appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to react sooner to correct his mounts when they shift ground in future. In view of the performances of TOWNSHIP MELODY, STRAWBERRY WINE and BONNIE DAWN the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. ANCIENT SPIRIT (AUS) raced with a tongue tie. Vet: TOWNSHIP MELODY - not striding out right hind. ANCIENT SPIRIT - coughing. STRAWBERRY WINE, ROCKING RUBY and BONNIE DAWN - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: VARSITY LOVER - lame left fore. JAMESON GIRL - no transport. MAKING WAVES - not eating up.
