The start of this Race was delayed due to the late scratching of HAWWAAM who kicked the back gates and was injured. Scratched by the Veterinary Surgeon. Time was taken to allow the betting public to re-structure their bets. HAWWAAM was restless in the stalls, kicked the back gates, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was scratched. LEGAL EAGLE lost one length. DO IT AGAIN, TWIST OF FATE and RAINBOW BRIDGE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Starter's report with regard to HAWWAAM, this colt's starting stall certificate was withdrawn and he was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable with a companion. HAWWAAM may not be presented for re-passing during this period. At approximately the 250 metre mark EYES WIDE OPEN had to ease momentarily to avoid the heels of DO IT AGAIN which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. TILBURY FORT shifted out away from the crop in the closing stages. Jockey Juglall used his crop more than 12 times in this race. In determining a penalty, the Board considered the manner in which he used his crop and his recent record. Vet: CAMPHORATUS - post race distress. Scratched: MAGNIFICENT SEVEN - lame left fore. FRESNAYE - heat right fore. HAWWAAM - injured in the stalls, not striding out left hind.
