SILVER HOST was restless in the stalls, which resulted in BROTHER LOUIS becoming restless in the stalls, was taken out checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and then reloaded, causing a delay. FERGIE'S ROCK was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. In view of the report from the Starter regarding SILVER HOST and BROTHER LOUIS, Trainer Snaith and Trainer Woodruff were advised to have their geldings re-schooled before their next engagement. Jockey Fayd'Herbe was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he used his crop more than 12 times during the race whilst riding the horse ASHBURY PARK. Jockey Fayd'Herbe signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. Jockey Byleveld reported that LASATA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. Jockey Orffer was unable to ride his mount out when close to the heels of ASHBURY PARK at the finish. ASHBURY PARK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BROTHER LOUIS raced fitted with ear muffs. Vet: LASATA - examined post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. TREE OF WISDOM - returned having cast the left fore shoe in running. Scratched: ROCK THE NIGHT - nasal discharge. SEVENTH EXPRESS - coughing.
