PERFECTPROPORTIONS was nervous in the stalls. JUST MY STYLE was slow away and lost 1 length. FLYING SQUADRON and STEADY WAY were slow into stride. FIFTH OF MAY, proved difficult to settle in the early stages. This resulted in Jockey Ndlovu's saddle slipping forward severely. Consequently, Jockey Ndlovu was unable to assist this filly and eased her out of the race at the 1200m. At the 1300m FLYING SQUADRON, raced around the field and to the front at the 700m. Thereafter, this filly stayed on strongly to win. In the concluding stages JUST MY STYLE, shifted out sharply away from the crop. FLYING SQUADRON and JUST MY STYLE were selected for the taking of specimens for an analysis. Vet: JUST MY STYLE - cast left fore shoe. FIFTH OF MAY - saddle slipped, forward. Scratched: MAKING MIRACLES - lame near fore.
