The start of the 6th Race was slightly delayed as a result of the Veterinary Surgeon examining EVERLASTING LOVE at the start. Declared fit to race. EVERLASTING LOVE repeatedly kicked in the stalls. Removed, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. THREE DOG NIGHT and DON PIERRO (AUS) both lost 1 length. SHERMAN lost 3 lengths. SEA SPONGE was restless in the stalls. GIMME A COHIBA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Munger the rider of THREE DOG NIGHT and Jockey Veale the rider of AL JACKMAN reported their respective mounts took no interest in running. Jockey Orffer the rider of MASTER SAM reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding and as a result did not persevere with his ride over the final 800 metres. Jockey Khumalo the rider of EVERLASTING LOVE reported this filly not striding out freely in running. TECHNO CAPTAIN over-raced in the early stages. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning MASTER SAM, this gelding is suspended from racing for a period of 60 days. Jockey Fayd'herbe used his crop more than 12 times in this race. Vet: MASTER SAM - epistaxis. Recommend 60-day suspension. THREE DOG NIGHT - coughing. AL JACKMAN - nothing obvious detected. EVERLASTING LOVE - fatigued. SHERMAN - not striding out left fore and left hind. Scratched: O'REILLY - not eating up.
