ANGELICO was stubborn and restless in the stalls. Trainer Hill was advised to re-school this colt. DO OR DARE was restless in the stalls. Lost one length. Trainer Kannemeyer was advised to re-school this gelding. PALACE HOUSE was restless in the stalls. Trainer Kannemeyer was advised to re-school this gelding. SUGAR MAN lost two lengths. JUSTFORTHEEPENNY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Kotzen was questioned with regard to the improved performance of JUSTFORTHEEPENNY compared to this colt's previous performance. The only explanation that Trainer Kotzen could offer was that it was a debut run in a feature race and this colt was possibly outclassed. DOUBLETHINK was over-racing leaving the back straight and going into the first bend. DOUBLETHINK shifted out away from the crop at approximately the 200m, and Jockey Marcus accidentally dropped his crop near the 150m. In view of the performances of GILDED AGE, PALACE HOUSE and SUGAR MAN the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. ANGELICO: The ownership should read: - Messrs G R Worth & N Nel and the colors are yellow, pale blue seams, yellow sleeves and cap. (SWE - 23.07.19). Vet: GILDED AGE and PALACE HOUSE - nothing obvious detected. SUGAR MAN - not striding out right hind. Jockey Wright stood down after the running of this Race:- dehydration/headache. Unable to continue riding / Dr Pillay.
