The start of this race was delayed due to FEITAS FLYER proving reluctant to canter to the start as well as the delay in the previous races. ELECTROMAGNETIC lost one length. NORLAND jumped outwards leaving the stalls. IRON BORN fly-jumped leaving the stalls. En-route to the start FEITAS FLYER proved reluctant to canter to the start. This gelding was suspended until such time as he proves tractable cantering to the start on a race day. At approximately the 150m, Jockey Lerena lost his left side stirrup iron which he corrected. Jockey Storey reported that KREMLIN JUDGEMENT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. Apprentice Juglall reported that he felt something amiss with PATRIC in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. POWERED BEAUTY (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KREMLIN JUDGEMENT - abnormal respiratory noise. PATRIC - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: STREAKING STAR - insufficient recovery time. FEITAS FLYER - intractable.
