TOMMY GRAND was restless in the stalls. Trainer Kotzen was advised to re-school this gelding. CAT DADDY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performances of KAPEN PRIDE, MOON IN JUNE, WAITING FOR CHANGE, and MR GREENLIGHT the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Between the 400m and the 250m JUST CRUISED IN was baulked on two separate occasions. Thereafter this gelding shifted out to continue his run at the 100m. At the 400m MOON IN JUNE was carried out and was eased off the heels of MR GREENLIGHT. An Inquiry was held into this incident. A further Inquiry was held into Jockey Yeni's conduct in the Board room. At the 900m MR GREENLIGHT shifted out off the heels of TOMMY GRAND which resulted in MR GREENLIGHT and MOON IN JUNE bumping when racing in close proximity. An Inquiry was opened into this incident. Shortly after the start WAITING FOR CHANGE shifted in which resulted in HIGH GREEN becoming cramped and CAT DADDY being carried inwards and having to ease. This in turn led to JUST CRUISED IN and JACK OF HEARTS being inconvenienced. Jockey Wright failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the runners on his inside shortly after the start. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. WAITING FOR CHANGE and JACK OF HEARTS over-raced in the early stages. Vet: KAPEN PRIDE - not striding out right fore. MOON IN JUNE and WAITING FOR CHANGE - nothing obvious detected. MR GREENLIGHT - fatigued. Scratched: ANCESTRY - swollen right fore.
