The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous Race delay and Race 7 presentations. SNOWDANCE was stubborn to load. Trainer Snaith was advised to re-school this filly. AFRICA RISING was stubborn to load. Trainer Tarry was advised to re-school this gelding. FROSTED GOLD (NZ) was stubborn and difficult to load. Lost five lengths. WILL PAYS lost two lengths. VAN HALEN was slow into stride. KASIMIR and CELTIC SEA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. VAN HALEN was eased and switched out for a clear run leaving the 200m as a result of KASIMIR shifting in away from the crop. Jockey Fourie failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to VAN HALEN passing the 200m. He was suspended for a period of 10 days. WILL PAYS was carried out and thereafter was eased leaving the 150m. An Inquiry was held into this incident. In view of the performances of VISION TO KILL and FROSTED GOLD (NZ), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Jockey Fourie used his crop more than 12 times in this race. In view of the Starter's report with regard to FROSTED GOLD (NZ), this colt's starting stall certificate was withdrawn and he was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable to jump on terms with a companion. FROSTED GOLD (NZ) may not be presented for re-passing during this period. SNOWDANCE: The ownership should read: - Drakenstein Stud (Nom: Mrs G A Rupert) and the colors are blue, white square, blue sleeves & cap. (SWE - 26.07.19). Vet: FROSTED GOLD (NZ) - mouth injury. VISION TO KILL - nothing obvious detected.
