The start was delayed due to RAINBOW ROE being restless in the stalls. This filly could not be removed from the stalls which resulted in the Veterinary Surgeon having to examine her in the stalls. Declared fit to race. TALLULAH JET lost one length. TWICE OVER SATIN lost two lengths. HIGHLAND HEATHER was stubborn to load and restless in the stalls. Assistant Trainer Beets was advised to re-school this filly. SWEET EMPRESS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Whitehead advised. SILVER BEAUTY stumbled badly shortly after the start resulting in Jockey Wright being dislodged. RAINBOW ROE and ELUSIVE QUEST were carried outwards by the riderless horse at the 900m. In view of the performances of RAINBOW ROE, ELUSIVE QUEST and HIGHLAND HEATHER the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. In view of the Starter's report with regard to RAINBOW ROE, this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and she was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable to load with a companion. RAINBOW ROE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. ELUSIVE QUEST raced with an alumite bar shoe on the right fore. Vet: RAINBOW ROE - nothing obvious detected. ELUSIVE QUEST - nothing obvious detected. HIGHLAND HEATHER - not striding out left fore. Scratched: STREETS OF FIRE - abnormal blood count.
