THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HIGH FIDELITY jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) LUCKY AWESOME, RAPTOR KING and TROJAN HORSE were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, SHINING STAR and UNCLE BOB were bumped out by HIGH FIDELITY, which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) LUCKY AWESOME hung out from the 800m to the 500m and thereafter was baulked for a clear run from the 400m to the 150m. d) Apprentice J Botes, the rider of UNCLE BOB, briefly dropped his right-side rein at the 200m. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with SHINING STAR in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) RAPTOR KING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Soma was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) SHINING STAR not striding out b) CAT'S FUTURE scalp wound left hind. c) HATTORI HANZO blowing post-race; coughing post-race; scalp wound right hind. d) HIGH FIDELITY abnormal respiratory noise.
