THE STARTER REPORTED: a) J LORDI was resaddled at the start. b) HIGH RIDER was stubborn loading. c) NIGHT VISION was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. d) FYFIELD LEGEND and J LORDI jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (11h50) b) J LORDI, which jumped awkwardly, made slight contact with HIGH RIDER shortly after the start. c) FYFIELD LEGEND was hanging in from the 350m and was straightened at the 100m. d) J LORDI shifted out slightly away from crop from the 300m and thereafter, commenced to hang inwards from the 200m. e) NIGHT VISION, which failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field, raced wide without cover on the turn and was not persevered with from the 100m. Thereafter, Jockey C Zackey reported that this filly made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) CARNIVAL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised.
