THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FORBIDDEN AFFAIR (X Ndlovu) and DENIM EN JEANS (L Mxothwa) were nervous in the stalls. b) CURIOUS (*L J Ferraris) was stubborn loading and thereafter slow losing one length. c) SHAKSHUKA (C Maujean) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with DENIM EN JEANS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that FORBIDDEN AFFAIR did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) FOREST OF GREEN (*K Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G D Smith advised (LM). d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning DENIM EN JEANS, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended from racing for a period of sixty days (60) in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
