The start of this Race was delayed due to the delay to the previous race and due to the 30-minute interval between Races 8 and 9. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) Approaching the 1200m YOUR LADYSHIP became cramped for galloping room when awkwardly placed between INDECENT PROPOSAL and PARATROOPER, which rolled out. b) PARATROOPER hung in from the 300m. c) Passing the 250m MONT LOISIR, which hung in from the top of the straight, clipped the heels of KAAPSE KLOPSE and became unbalanced. As a consequence, Apprentice A Mosaheb (MONT LOISIR) briefly dropped his left side rein. Apprentice A Mosaheb, accompanied by Riding Master M Curtis, appeared before the Board regarding this incident and was advised to take more timeous corrective measures to ensure that his mounts do not shift ground in races in future. d) MISTY METAL was not persevered with from the 200m and thereafter Jockey C Zackey reported that MISTY METAL choked up in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Apprentice A Mosaheb reported that he felt something amiss in the running with MONT LOISIR. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) In view of the Veterinarian's report concerning MONT LOISIR, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspension dates 21.06.2026 - 19.08.2026 bdi). Trainer Y Singh was advised. g) KAAPSE KLOPSE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) MONT LOISIR : Epistaxis. 60-day suspension recommended. b) WINTER IN LONDON : Returned post-race having cast the left front shoe. c) TOMMY GREANEY : Speedy cut left hind. d) L 'ULTIMO : Coughing. e) MISTY METAL : Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : a) STAGE ONE : Incorrectly equipped (withdrawn at 17h28) (To be investigated). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
