THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DONNY'S BOY and ROTOTO jumped slow, losing one length. b) TRIP TO PEACE jumped slow, losing one length. c) ALADO'S PRIDE jumped slow, losing two to three lengths. d) HENRY'S HEDGE jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side front gate leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DARLING GIRL recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. (16h04) b) GOLDEN GREY and MONT TREMBLANT over raced in the early and middle stages. c) In view of the performance of TRIP TO PEACE, which was not persevered with from the 100m, the Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer JP Nel was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables d) In view of the performance of DONNY'S BOY, the Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. e) The saddle on WELSH STARLET slipped back in running. This was confirmed on the patrol film. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding ALADO'S PRIDE, Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) WILD FIG, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM) FURTHER JOCKEY CHANGES/OVERWEIGHTS/OTHER: a) *G Dookhit (WELSH STARLET) rode +0.5kgs and only claimed 2kg's of his allowance. (50.4kgs) THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) DONNY'S BOY - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. b) TRIP TO PEACE - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
