THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CELTIC RUSH threw its head down as the start was effected and refused to jump. b) GLOBETONIC and CORAL CREEK were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h38) b) The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to CELTIC RUSH in stall gate 2. It was established that this gelding was fractious in the stalls, had thrown its head down as the start was effected, refused to jump and any loss of ground was as a result of its own behaviour. The Stewards therefore took no further action. In view of the report from the Starter regarding CELTIC RUSH, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for seven (7) days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load and jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 27/06/2026 to 03/07/2026, both dates inclusive). CELTIC RUSH may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer DG Smith was advised. c) MASKED VIGILANTE was hanging in from the 400m and was straightened at the 100m. d) STOKESY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised. (LM) FURTHER JOCKEY CHANGES/OTHER: a) C Maujean (AWAY WITH RED) rode +1kg of which 0.5kg was carded.
