THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VOLEGOV was reluctant to load b) SKY ROCKET was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h07) b) IGNITE THE FIRE over raced in the early and middle stages. c) Jockey C Zackey did not persevere with his riding of KELP FOREST from the 150m and thereafter, reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) Jockey R Fourie (LYRICAL GANGSTER) hesitated with his riding at the finish in anticipation that WITCH HAZEL would continue to shift in after the finish. e) WITCH HAZEL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
