THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PERFECT SKY and ELUSIVE DRAGON jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) DEMOCRAT jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, DEMOCRAT, which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, and PERFECT SKY, which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, came together and brushed. c) Shortly after the start, ARABELLA FIGG and TAX FREE were bumped in by ELUSIVE DRAGON, which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. d) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with TAX FREE in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) In view of the Veterinarian's report concerning TAX FREE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Stable Employee L Faniso, acting on behalf of Trainer R Klaasen, was advised. f) PERFECT SKY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) TAX FREE bilateral epistaxis, recommended 60-day suspension. Stable Employee L Faniso, acting on behalf of Trainer R Klaasen, was advised (MB).
