THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NORSE WARRIOR was stubborn loading and slow into stride. b) MME HUNTRESS jumped inwards. c) GOOD SHINE and LADY OF FATE were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) NORSE WARRIOR recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer E Kaknis was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. (12h06) b) Permission was granted for ALLEYAH'S ROCKET to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) ALLEYAH'S ROCKET raced awkwardly in the early and middle stages. d) At approximately the 150m, LADY OF FATE had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed between GOOD SHINE and NORSE WARRIOR, which shifted out away from the crop. e) In the concluding stages, ALLEYAH'S ROCKET was steadied momentarily in anticipation of running onto the heels of GOOD SHINE, which rolled out marginally. f) Trainer E Kaknis was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate NORSE WARRIOR against Equine Influenza in accordance with the program of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer E Kaknis signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.00. g) SOUNDSOFSYMPHONIES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
