THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NOTE TO SELF was stubborn to load. b) OLIVIA'S WAY lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) VIVA'S LIBERTE and MINOGUE over-raced in the early stages. c) On the latter part of the turn NOTE TO SELF was directed outwards and ridden forward to improve around the field. d) At the 300m CHOISAANADA which rolled out, ran onto and clipped the heels of LEGAL COUNSEL. e) ALADDIN'S LAMP hung in from the 300m. f) Shortly before the finish VIVA'S LIBERTE was inconvenienced when awkwardly placed between the heels of WISH LIST, and KING PELLES which was carried in slightly by NOTE TO SELF which shifted in away from the crop. g) Jockey Z Lloyd reported that REGULATION made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. h) In view of the performances of HAZY DAZY (18.90 lengths and 25/1 in the betting) and OLIVIA'S WAY (14.95 lengths and 66/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. i) Jockey A Fortune was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that as the rider of WISH LIST, he misused his crop by striking this filly more than ten times (12) in the entire race. Jockey Fortune signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R28 000. j) NOTE TO SELF, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J S Snaith was advised (MM). k) WISH LIST, placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Robinson acting on behalf of Trainer J S Snaith was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey R A Venniker was the rider of CHOISAANADA (advised 30.06.2026/15h15). b) Jockey M Michel was the rider of CURIOUS GIRL (advised 01.07.2026/11h17).
