THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start LOU LOU was tightened and eased between the inside running rail and CALLMEGETRIX, which was carried in by RAINBOW LORIKEET, which shifted in. Jockey A Domeyer was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of RAINBOW LORIKEET, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to LOU LOU (S Hlengwa) and CALLMEGETRIX (M Yeni) shortly after the start. Jockey Domeyer signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended for 10 days (Dates to be advised). c) LOU LOU shifted out away from the crop between the 300m and the 150m. d) CALLMEGETRIX took an awkward stride at the 250m. e) In view of the performance of LOU LOU (18.00 lengths and 125/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) QUICKSTEPGAL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Prinsloo was advised (SP). g) MON PETITE CHERIE, placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Crawford was advised (MM).
