The start of this race was delayed due to a technical fault with the floodlights at approximately the 400m which was attended to and resolved by the Operator. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREEN GATEWAY lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) PAY THE PALACE was difficult to settle in the early stages. c) Jockey M Michel did not persevere with her riding from the 350m and thereafter she reported that she felt something amiss in the running with FORWARD MOTION. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) Jockey J P v'd Merwe did not persevere with his riding from the 250m and thereafter he reported that GIMMEFABULOUS did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Jockey C Murray did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages and thereafter he reported that he felt something amiss in the running with VAPOUR TRAIL. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) Jockey C Schofield did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages and thereafter he reported that he felt something amiss in the running with IMPOSING.
