THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPARKLING SKY refused to load and was withdrawn, causing a delay. b) LIEFLING was fractious behind the stalls and had to be loaded without the Rider. c) UNDOUBTED THE BOY was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h46) b) ARKANSAS STATE raced wide on the turn and into the straight. c) At the 450m, a tiring LADY AMBER had to be checked away from the heels of LIEFLING, which was directed sharply outwards to secure clear running. Jockey C Murray was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of LIEFLING, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to LADY AMBER at the 450m. Jockey C Murray signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates to be advised). d) Leaving the 400m, WHATWILLBEWILLBE and UP IN FLAMES bumped when both horses shifted ground. e) Jockey K Steyn reported that UNDOUBTED THE BOY changed stride continually in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding LIEFLING, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 08/07/2026 to 12/07/2026, both dates inclusive). LIEFLING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer J Crawford was advised. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SPARKLING SKY, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 08/07/2026 to 12/07/2026, both dates inclusive). SPARKLING SKY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M Rix was advised. h) LIEFLING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Crawford was advised.
