THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TRAIL RUNNER was stubborn loading. b) DYNALLEY was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h16) b) WORLD CHOICE and RIP WHEELER over raced in the early and middle stages. c) HOODWINKED over raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter, was hanging in from the 200m. d) TRAIL RUNNER was hanging in from the 300m. e) Jockey R Fourie reported that CORAL CREEK took no interest in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. f) In view of the performance of DYNALLEY (Betting 9/4; Distance 4.20 lengths), the Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. g) HOODWINKED, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
