During the loading process MYSTIC DANCER became restless and rushed the front gates. This filly was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinarian, passed fit to race and reloaded. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MYSTIC DANCER was restless in the stalls. Jumped awkwardly with its head up and lost 2 lengths. b) LAST CAR TO PASS lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) LA LANDONNE commenced to over race in the early and middle stages. c) MYSTIC DANCER proved difficult to settle in the early stages. Thereafter, Apprentice T Mayhew did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. In view of this, the Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) LAST CAR TO PASS hung in, entering the straight. e) In view of the performance of LA LANDONNE (3.50 lengths and 5/2 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) Apprentice E J Muller was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that as the rider of SHE'S A MACHINE, he misused his crop by striking this filly more than ten times (11) during the race. Apprentice Muller signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1 800. g) MISS LADYATERIX, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Y Govender was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice E J Muller (claiming 4 kg) was the rider of SHE'S A MACHINE (advised 11.07.2026/09h41). THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) MYSTIC DANCER : In season, fatigued and not striding out right front. b) LA LANDONNE : Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : a) Nil.
