THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start HITHEMHARDSUNSHINE, and CHOCOLATE SOLDIER which jumped awkwardly inwards leaving the starting stalls, were hampered and squeezed out between CONNERY, and POP CHART which jumped outwards bumping HITHEMHARDSUNSHINE. Thereafter, CHOCOLATE SOLDIER proved difficult to settle in the early stages and hung in from the 400m. c) CONNERY hung in from the 350m. d) In view of the performances of SIESTA SUNSET (5.85 lengths and 25/1 in the betting) and POP CHART (15.05 lengths and 25/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Jockey C Little reported that he felt something amiss with CHOCOLATE SOLDIER in the concluding stages. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) In view of the Veterinarian's report concerning CHOCOLATE SOLDIER, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspension dates: 13.07.2026 - 10.09.2026 bdi). Trainer C Spies will be advised. g) POSITION OF POWER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
