THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HANDSOME PRINCE jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h20) b) Shortly after the start, OLIVER was squeezed out when tightened for room between SPIRIT and CHURCHILLIAN, which was bumped outwards by HANDSOME PRINCE. c) At the 200m, SHESGOTCLASS was unbalanced, had to be steadied and made contact with GIVE IT LALDY, which was bumped inwards by CHURCHILLIAN, which shifted in without correction. Jockey M Yeni was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of CHURCHILLIAN, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SHESGOTCLASS at the 200m. Jockey M Yeni signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates to be advised). d) At the 100m, OLIVER, which was initially directed outwards and into clear running, and OBJET D' ART made contact. e) Jockey G Lerena reported that GIVE IT LALDY tired quickly in the straight. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. f) Jockey R Fourie reported that FAST TRAIN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. g) In view of the performance of IGNITE THE FIRE, the Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. h) OBJET D' ART, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
