THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN ANGEL stood, losing 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) The Stewards reviewed the start of this race where it was established that GOLDEN ANGEL sat back in the starting stalls as the gates were released and the subsequent loss of three lengths was due to the horse's own behaviour and deemed GOLDEN ANGEL to be a runner. c) Approaching the 200m SPANISH FEUD was taken back for a stride in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of EBISU, which shifted out away from the crop. d) An objection was lodged by Jockey C Murray on behalf of the second placed horse, EBISU against the winner SESAME (*A Mosaheb) on the grounds of intimidation in the concluding stages. After considering the video footage and the evidence presented, the Board established that both horses had shifted inwards independently in the concluding stages and that Apprentice Mosaheb's (SESAME) inward movement had not impeded EBISU (C Murray). Therefore, the Objection was overruled, and the Judges' result was allowed to stand. Jockey C Murray's deposit was refunded. It was brought to the Board's attention that the Objection hooter had not sounded over the public address system. This was relayed to the Operator race day representatives. e) SESAME, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G S Kotzen was advised (MM).
