THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GALLA VANTING lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) BLESS ME FRED, which was encouraged forward from a wide draw, raced wide and without cover around the turn and into the straight, and thereafter this gelding tired rapidly from the 200m. c) GALLA VANTING proved difficult to settle in the early stages and was not persevered with from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey K A Brewer reported that this mare did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. Trainer M Pandaram will be asked to report back on the condition of this mare on return to stables . d) In view of the performance of LITTLE CRACKER (2.65 lengths and 11/2 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) B FIFTYTWO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
