THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) TALKING POINT was fractious and stubborn loading.
b) KALEESH CYBORG was stubborn loading.
c) FIVE STAR MAGIC was stubborn loading and slow into stride.
d) ALAKAZAM jumped slow, losing two lengths.
e) GEORGE REX jumped inwards.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h22)
b) TURBULENT raced awkwardly on the turn, changed stride continually and was hanging in throughout. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding.
Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
c) TALKING POINT shifted out away from the crop on a number of occasions from the top of the straight.
d) BLUE CRYSTAL shifted out away from the crop from the 300m and was corrected at the 100m.
e) ALAKAZAM was hanging out from the 250m.
f) KALEESH CYBORG was hanging in from the 200m.
g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding TALKING POINT, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 18/07/2026 to 24/07/2026, both dates inclusive). TALKING POINT may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer DG Smith was advised.
h) TASTE THE RAINBOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer NJ Paddock, acting on behalf of Trainer WGC Miller, was advised. (SP)
i) KALEESH CYBORG, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (SP)
FURTHER JOCKEY CHANGES/OTHER:
a) BLUE CRYSTAL (C Maujean) raced in Racing Operator's colours - Stewards' permission.
THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED:
a) TURBULENT - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected.
b) BLUE CRYSTAL - scalp wound left hind.
c) FIVE STAR MAGIC - coughing.
THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
