THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KORCULA was stubborn loading. b) FLYING WORLD was restless in the stalls. c) BOLD SKITT was slow, losing three lengths. Stable Employee A Langa, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Sage, was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 1200m, BOLD SKITT and SHABEEN QUEEN were steadied after commencing to over-race. c) Jockey G Lerena reported that TWELFTH OF NEVER took an awkward stride in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) FLYING WORLD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Soma was advised (MS).
