The tongue tie on SHOWGIRL had to be replaced at the start. This led to a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHOWGIRL was stubborn to load. b) MY BOY LOLLIPOP lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 300m SHOWGIRL was squeezed out when racing in restricted room on the heels of AZZURRI, and COWBOY COUNTRY, which shifted in and was immediately corrected. c) XENOPHON, which hung in from the 500m, was steadied away from the heels of COWBOY COUNTRY at the 150m. Thereafter Jockey C Zackey reported that XENOPHON did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss in the running with JET LEGACY. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) In view of the Veterinarian's report concerning JET LEGACY, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspended 23.07.2026 - 20.09.2026 bdi). Trainer A Wright will be advised. f) COWBOY COUNTRY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A J Rivalland was advised (MM). THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) XENOPHON : Nothing obvious detected. b) JET LEGACY : Epistaxis. 60 days suspension.
